Conventional standards ask whether a building is good, not whether it does good. We are rethinking the role of building in society.

An informal, voluntary network of individuals, organizations, and companies, the JBA invites designers, architects, engineers, builders, product representatives, and the general public to join our on-going effort to reconsider how construction can serve society.

Through virtual and face-to-face discussions, we are currently shaping our mission around three primary goals:

working conditions in the construction industry.

PROMOTE
construction-related markets in developing regions to enhance the quality of life in the world’s most disadvantaged communities.

LOBBY
for fair trade in the building industry.
